The worlds tiniest nation, the Vatican, is one of 145 countries taking part in Expo Milan 2015.
The Holy See is also the only international religious authority with a purpose-built pavilion at the nutrition-themed commercial fair, which opened in the Italian city on 1 May.
Attending states are expected to showcase the best of their technology to feed the worlds growing population, while also promoting national food industries and delicacies.
The Vatican, with less than 1,000 inhabitants, does not have any of the above to put on display. So why has it decided to be at Expo? IBTimes UK reports from Milan.
Expo Milan 2015 runs until October.
