EXID's Hani and JYJ's Junsu have broken up, according to various reports. The K-pop stars, who were together for more than 6 months, ended their relationship amicably and, according to Hani's agency, Banana Culture, the reason for their break-up was mainly that they "naturally went their separate ways."
On Tuesday, Sept. 14, the entertainment company stated, "It is true Junsu and Hani have broken up. We cannot confirm the exact timing of their separation. It seems the two naturally went their separate ways because of busy schedules."
Although EXID's agency claimed that Hani and Junsu's split resulted from their busy schedules, rumours about their break-up surfaced a while ago. Netizens claimed that the couple broke up months earlier.
Fans speculated on Hani's frequent breakdowns on TV shows and many suggested that the EXID member was teary-eyed due to problems in her relationship. However, the singer herself never spoke about any strain in her personal life.
Hani and Junsu's break-up has, nonetheless, evoked fans' empathy. Many of them sympathised with the K-pop singer, who recently bid farewell to the Korean variety show, "Weekly Idol."
Hani, who emceed the show along with Super Junior member Heechul, said the past six months have been the most gratifying. In an emotional Instagram post, Hani added:
"I was happy the past 6 months receiving much love from the two oppas. I hope 'Weekly Idol' with Hyung Don oppa's return remains at its position for longer and also receives more love. I appreciate everyone who allowed me to create so many happy memories."
It seems that Hani, who was confirmed to be dating Junsu in January 2016, has been able to move on from her relationship and is focused on her career.
