Yes. You have read it right. The leading Kannada filmmaker, who is busy with his forthcoming movie "Vaastu Prakara", is likely to direct Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The talks are on and people involved in the process are working hard to make the project a reality.
Sources close to IB Times have revealed that Yogaraj Bhat is getting ready to direct a Salman Khan movie. A source says: "Bhat is working on the script and talks are on with the actor and a corporate production house. He has been penning it [the story] for a while and hopes that his dream to make his Hindi debut will materialise soon with this flick."
At this stage, neither the director nor the production house is ready to confirm the development. When we asked, Bhat refused to comment on it. The filmmaker was supposed to make his Bollywood debut last year and was in talks with Amitabh Bachchan and Nana Patekar for a project.
In fact, Bhat with his enthusiastic team, had settled in Mumbai to work on the movie. But the proposed Hindi project got delayed for some reasons and eventually made him put this film on the backburner. Now, he appears to have written a comedy entertainer, which is likely to start in 2015. More details on the movie are expected to be out in the coming days.
It may also be recalled here that Bhat was offered to direct a romantic movie by Boney Kapoor post the "Mungaaru Male" success, but he did not accept the offer for some reasons.
Meanwhile, Bhat is busy with his Rakshit Shetty and Jaggesh starrer "Vaastu Prakara". The Kannada movie will hit the screens in November 2014. On the other end, Salman Khan is busy with "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" directed by Sooraj R Barjatiya.
