Bajaj Auto, the Pune-based two wheeler maker, pulled the wraps off its new Avenger offerings in India in October. Unlike before, this time Bajaj Auto has three new Avengers for the Indian fans - Avenger Street 220, Avenger Cruise 220 and Avenger Street 150. While the first two 220cc powered Avengers have only changes in styling, the latter one is the first in the Avenger line-up to come with 150cc engine.
According to dealers IBTimes India spoke to in Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore, the Avenger Street 150 has not yet started arriving at dealer showrooms and there is not much information about the availability of the smaller cruiser. While dealers in Delhi tell us that the bookings are also open for the Street 150, they could not give any concrete information on the availability of the model.
At the same time, Mumbai dealers of Bajaj Auto informed us that the Avenger Street 150 is available for bookings and the waiting period currently stands at three weeks. However, dealers in Bangalore said the bike is not available as of now and they are waiting for the manufacturer's instructions on the same. To reconfirm the availability of the Avenger Street 150, IBTimes India made enquiries multiple times and the response remained the same till the time of reporting.
The Bajaj Avenger Street 150 has been priced at Rs 75,000. Powered by the Pulsar 150's engine that is tuned to generate 13bhp and a maximum torque of 12.5 Nm, the Street 150 features street control handle bar, alloy wheels, matte black colour, low slung seating and digital meter.
