Here is good news for all Simbu, Nayanthara fans.
The ex-lovers are set to share screen space in director Pandiraj's upcoming film. Nayanthara will be playing the role of Mylaa in the yet to be titled flick.
Confirming the news, director Pandiraj tweeted: "We have searched heroine from long time for our mylaa character now finally we have fixed the heroine that none otherthan nayanthara :-)"
Apparently, Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone (ex-flames) who worked in "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" after their break-up has inspired Simbu (STR) and Nayanthara to pair up, reported The Times of India.
Pandiraj told the news daily, "I felt that Nayanthara would be a perfect fit for the character and approached her through our cinematographer Balasubramaniem, who is working with her in 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal.' She liked the role but was reluctant to agree because Simbu was the lead. However, I convinced her by pointing out that exes like Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have worked together after breaking up. She understood my point of view and agreed."
Simbu was also reportedly reluctant to team up with Nayanthara, but later agreed to the director's choice. The duo, who worked together in "Vallavan", was once romantically involved. They eventually parted ways and even avoided doing films together. Recently, reports emerged that the former lovers buried their hatchet and have become friends. They were both seen chatting at the success bash of "Raja Rani", which stars Nayanthara.
After a span of nearly seven years, fans will be seeing Simbu and Nayanthara teaming up together. The first schedule of the city-based romantic comedy entertainer has been completed. The director had to wait to commence the second schedule since he had to finalise his leading lady. With Nayanthara confirming the project, Pandiraj is expected to resume the film's shooting soon.
Simbu-Nayanthara's presence has made it one of the most-awaited films of 2014. According to a report in Sify, one more actress has to be finalized for the project. Simbu's younger brother Kuralarasan is all set to make his debut as a music director for this untitled flick.
