The "Single Ladies" star is pregnant again. The singer got lucky the second time around and the world finally knows why Beyonce has been covering her belly for the past few months.
As numerous reports flooded the Internet about Bey's pregnancy, a source close to the singer has revealed that power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce's second child is an IVF baby.
Although the couple hasn't made an official statement regarding their second child, we know that they've long tried for a baby sister or brother for Blue Ivy. And we cannot wait to see the newest addition to Jay and Bey's family.
Here are a few things you should know about Beyonce's journey until she arrived at her third pregnancy.
Beyonce has battled fertility problems in the past and even took medication in the hope that she would be blessed with a second child. A source close to Beyonce told OK! Magazine that the medication took a toll on the singer as she experienced mood fluctuations, weight gain, breakouts and more.
The singer tried the old-fashioned method but struggled to get pregnant and finally gave in to medication. The couple even saw a fertility doctor, much like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
In 2012 Beyonce suffered a miscarriage. In the HBO documentary series titled, "Life Is But a Dream" she opened up about the loss of her second baby and the pain it caused her. "I flew back to New York to get my check up, and no heartbeat. Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat. I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I've ever written in my life. It was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, since it was the saddest thing I have ever been through."
Beyonce cherishes motherhood and is willing to go whole nine yards to collect the delicate and touching moments during the nine months of pregnancy. So, when media reports claimed that Beyonce used a surrogate, she had this to say in "Life is But a Dream": "It's crazy. To think I would be that vain – I respect mothers and women so much and to be able to experience bringing a child into this world, if you're lucky and fortunate enough to experience that, I would never, ever take that for granted. It's the most powerful thing you can do."
According to Hollywood Life (via OK! Magazine), Beyonce is still nervous about stepping out even though a baby bump is not evident.
We know that Beyonce is not one for making a tepid statement about her pregnancy. When she was pregnant with Blue Ivy, the singer delivered the news in the most dramatic way by ripping off her shirt at MTV VMAs in 2011.
For months now, Beyonce has been photographed covering her belly. And we finally know why.
Although we don't know much about her pregnancy, it is safe to guess that Beyonce is still in her first trimester.
Jay-Z and Beyonce went through a turbulent time in 2014 as rumours of divorce spread. Perhaps Beyonce's second child could bring the two closer.
Recently, she was seen with husband Jay-Z, holding hands and sending out beams of happiness. The couple seemed in love and as close as they ever could be.
