When developer FromSoftware released Bloodborne earlier this year, the game became an instant hit among masses, especially the ones that have been stuck to titles such as Dark Souls and Demon Souls. Now, the developer is waiting to release the first DLC for the game, titled The Old Hunters.
So what exactly are the new things that will be arriving with The Old Hunters DLC for Bloodborne? Let's take a closer look.
Bloodborne: The Old Hunters DLC – What We Know So Far
Additional Story Content
As the name suggests, Bloodborne's upcoming The Old Hunters DLC features many of the old hunters who have been mentioned throughout Bloodborne, including Ludwig, who is one of the hunters trapped in the nightmare you must play through. The DLC will expand the story of Yharnam and highlight the old characters.
DLC Size
As far as reports are concerned, the new DLC for the game is said to bring as many as three new areas that will be massive. The development team is said to have spent the last six months working on the expansion, and that it's taken this long because of the massive size of the DLC.
Early DLC Access
For starters, you won't have to beat Bloodborne in order to access The Old Hunters DLC. That being said, you also won't be able to play through it as soon as you start a new game. You will get access to the DLC somewhere around the halfway point in the game.
DLC Price
The Old Hunters will not be available as a standalone title, and will only be accessible to players who already own Bloodborne. The expansion is said to cost $19.99.
DLC Release Date
Initially FromSoftware decided to split the DLC into two releases, although the idea was later scrapped. As of now, the new expansion is set for a 24 November release.
