England manager Roy Hodgson is set to announce his 23-man squad for Euro 2016 on 16 May. With the tournament kicking off on 10 June, the Three Lions boss will have just under a month to try to put together a side capable of challenging the very best on the continent.
The good form of some players, and injuries to others, has left the former Switzerland manager with a few selection headaches. Captain Wayne Rooneys role has come under considerable scrutiny with the lauded form of Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy and Tottenham striker Harry Kane, while injuries to Hodgson favourites, like Jack Wilshire and Jordan Henderson, have left a potential hole in the midfield.
Add to that a long-term injury to second-choice goalkeeper Jack Butland, and the lack of form from centre backs John Stones and Gary Cahill, and it seems Hodgson has some major decisions on his hands. Luckily for him, IBTimes UK sports editor Nick Howson is here to help, and has picked his 23-man squad for the upcoming competition in the video above.
