Barcelona are open to the idea of allowing their midfielder Arda Turan leave Camp Nou in the summer transfer window. He joined the Catalan club from Atletico Madrid last summer, but had to wait until January to make his debut due to Fifas ban imposed on the La Liga winners.

According to the Spanish publication Marca, Barcelona are looking to cash in on the Turkish internationals sale, just one year after he signed for them. A few directors believe it will be in the best interest of the club to allow the 29-year-old to leave this summer.

Since making his way into the first team, the midfielder has failed to impress. He was not preferred by Luis Enrique in big matches and made only nine starts in the La Liga in the 2015/16 season. He continued his poor form in the Euro 2016 with Turkey, where they were knocked out of the tournament in the group stages.

The Spanish champions paid a fee of €40m (£34.1m, $44.2m) to the Madrid outfit in securing the services of Turan. However, they will sanction the sale of their player, if they receive an offer in the region of €26.7m (£22.7m, $29.5m).

Turan is not looking for an exit in the current transfer window and is hoping to continue at Barcelona in order to prove his worth. However, it will not be an easy task as the competition for a place in the starting lineup has got tougher, especially after the arrival of Denis Suarez from Villarreal.

The Premier League could be a possible destination for Turan, as he had interests in the past from England before joining Barcelona.

Another Spanish publication AS claims Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are set to enter into a summer battle as both clubs are considering a move in signing Turan. They will face competition from Turkish side Fenerbahce and the three clubs have been monitoring him for a while. This report suggests that both Turan and Barcelona would be willing to negotiate for his transfer this summer.
