Esha Deol's four-day wedding extravaganza kicked off on Monday with a star-studded sangeet ceremony that was attended by several A-listers of Bollywood.
Right after the grand sangeet at Mumbai's Lalit Intercontinental Hotel on Monday night, Hema Malini organized an equally grand mehendi ceremony for her daughter Esha at the Royalty Club in Bandra on June 27.
Unlike the sangeet, the mehendi function turned out to be more of a family-oriented occasion, with only close friends and relatives making their presence felt.
The bride-to-be looked beautiful in an orange, yellow and green lehenga designed by Neeta Lulla, while fiancé Bharat Takhtani looked handsome in a sleeve-less Nehru jacket worn over a yellow-white kurta pajama.
The couple was caught on camera several times at the club's entrance, where Esha showed off her engagement ring and the elaborate Mehendi design etched on her hands.
Esha's mother Hema Malini and sister Ahana Deol were also snapped with the couple. While Hema donned a green, white and orange, Neeta Lulla-designed sari, Ahana had worn an orange anarkali.
Dharmendra Deol, father of the bride, was once again missing from the family photo album. The actor also stayed away from the paparazzi present at his daughter's sangeet ceremony.
The wedding ceremony will take place in a temple on June 29 and is believed to be a "family only" event.
Meanwhile, Esha is far more excited about the impending honeymoon that the wedding itself. "Wedding prep goin on n on n on can't wait for da honeymoon lol ;) hehehe," Esha tweeted earlier in May.
