Edinson Cavani has been linked with a move to Manchester United for quite a while now, and if his father has his way, the PSG striker would already be playing at Old Trafford.
Cavani has struggled to lock a place in his preferred position since making his move to Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli, with a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic above him in the central-striking pecking order.
As a result, Cavani has been constantly linked with a move away from Paris, with the English Premier League tipped to be his most likely destination.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with moves, and according to Cavani's father, his son should try and seal a transfer to Old Trafford.
"I would like to see him play for Real Madrid, Manchester United or Juventus," Cavani's father Luis was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
"Zlatan is not willing to play on the wings. So, they gave up on Edinson -- PSG themselves. Edinson is suffering at PSG. If they let him play as the No. 9, he will be happy."
Cavani was on the bench for the start of PSG's high-profile UEFA Champions League encounter against Chelsea, with the Uruguay international coming on in the final 20 minutes to score the winner for his team.
Despite PSG's victory over Chelsea, though, albeit only in the first leg, Luis Cavani does not believe the French champions are capable of winning the Champions League, and as a result he wants his son to join a club that is capable of going all the way in Europe.
"I want him to win the Champions League, but he has to play for one of the few teams who can do so," Luis added. "You have to go to Barcelona, Real or Manchester, who invest in order to be European champions.
"PSG can win titles in France. (But) they are not quick enough or lively enough (to win the Champions League title). They are a slow team.
"When they play in the Champions League, you can see the problems. They will win everything in France, but you have to accept that winning the Champions League will be very difficult."
Well, PSG certainly have a better chance than Manchester United â€" maybe his father meant Manchester City? -- to win the Champions League this season, considering Louis Van Gaal's team was knocked out of the competition after the group stages.
While Manchester United is expected to invest heavily in players again, the EPL side is unlikely to feature in the Champions League next season, considering six points separate them from fourth-placed Manchester City, with just 12 games to go.
Of course, United can still qualify for Europe's elite tournament by winning the Europa League, but they have a mountain to climb in that regard as well, after falling 2-1 to FC Midtylland in the first leg of their last 32 clash on Thursday.
