The January transfer winodw is now open and the clubs are looking to bolster their lineups by adding the desired players to their sides. If we go by the rumours, there are a number of players who want to make a move from their current clubs for more game time or better contracts, in this transfer window.
Real Madrid's midfielder Isco is one such player who wants to make a move out of Santiago Bernabeu. Manchester City is currently eyeing the situation and is hopeful that they can pull off a £35million deal by the end of this week.
City head coach Manuel Pellgrini wants to reunite with his former Malaga midfielder. The 23-year old Spaniard is out of favour at Real Madrid under Rafa Benitez and this is seen as the ideal situation by Manchester City to bring him to the Etihad Stadium.
Man City have already started talks with Real Madrid about a possible deal for Isco, according to the Daily Star.
Isco's arrival at the Etihad could create a lot of problems for Samir Nasri. Pellegrini will have to resubmit his Premier League and Champions League squads if he ends up singing Isco from Real Madrid, and the clubs can only name a maximum of 17 foreign players in their squad. City are already full in that particular list. A similar situation arrived for Pellegrini when he signed Wilfred Bony last year. As a result, he had to let leave Stevan Jovetic from the squad list.
Nasri has been sidelined with an injury for quite sometime now. The earliest Nasri can return to action will be by the end of March.
Isco hasn't featured in a game for Real Madrid since they lost 1-0 at Villarreal three weeks ago, and the midfield wizard is desperate for more game time.
