There have been reports doing the rounds for the last few days that Shankar, who is busy with his forthcoming movie "2.0" aka "Enthiran 2," is getting ready to direct a top star again. It was reported that the filmmaker was going to join hands with none other than Ajith for an action flick.

Now, the latest buzz is that Shankar is unlikely to team up with Ajith, who is currently busy with his next film "Thala 57," the temporary name given to the film by fans. It is said that Shankar has not approached the actor and the reports of them joining hands in the near future are not true.
Presently, Shankar is fully occupied with his forthcoming movie "2.0" and he has not planned his next project yet, say latest reports. The director will be in a position to think about his future films only after he wraps up the shooting of the Rajinikanth-starrer flick.
It is not the first time the reports of Shankar joining hands with Ajith have surfaced. For the last couple of years, there were many reports of them collaborating for a movie. But none of the rumours have turned out to be true.
Coming to Shankar's "2.0," he has completed over 60 percent of the shooting and the makers have plans to wrap up the shooting in the next few months, following which the lengthy post-production work will commence. The Tamil film will release next summer and the makers are yet to lock in the release date.
On the other hand, Ajith started his latest movie last week in Europe. The "Thala 57" unit will be shooting for 40 days abroad before returning to India next month. Meanwhile, the actor has been approached by a few filmmakers for their next projects, but he has not given his nod for any film yet.
It is reported that Vishnuvardhan is the prime contender to bag his next film and he reportedly has a historical project ready for Ajith.
