Adil Hussain and Ramya Krishnan are said to be the latest additions into the cast of "2.0," which is also known as "Enthiran 2." They are reportedly doing important roles in the Tamil flick.
In fact, Adil Hussain has joined the shoots and shared his excitement of being part of the film on Twitter. He wrote, "Thoroughly enjoyed the first day Shoot of Robo 2.0 in Chennai today. [sic]" The actor, who has worked in Hindi, English, Assamese and Marathi, had made his Tamil debut in "Yatchan" last year.
At the other end, reports also say that Ramya Krishnan is all set to work with Rajinikanth again. She had worked in many movies with the superstar in the past, but her memorable character remains Neelambari in "Padayappa", where she had played the role of a despicable villain in the flick.
Coming to other cast, "2.0" has Akshay Kumar playing the antagonist's character of Dr. Richard, a gifted scientist, who turns into a crow after a lab experiment goes wrong. Amy Jackson is the female lead in the flick, which has Sudhanshu Pandey and many others in the film.
The movie has AR Rahman's music, Anthony's and Nirav Shah's editing. The movie is directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
"2.0" is said to be a sequel to Shankar's blockbuster "Enthiran", although the makers have not confirmed it. The first instalment had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the female lead and Rajini was seen in dual roles.
Meanwhile, the shooting of the movie has crossed the halfway mark and is progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai. The makers have plans to release the film in April 2017. The post-production phase is expected to consume a lot of time. It decides the release date.
