Prithvitaj-Parvathy Menon starrer "Ennu Ninte Moideen", directed by RS Vimal, has garnered tremendous collection at the Kerala box office on the first weekend.
The romantic thriller, based on the real-life story of Moideen and Kanchanamala, has also received rave reviews from critics as well as audience. "Ennu Ninte Moideen", set in Kozhikode during the 1960s, also has Bala, Lena, Tovino Thomas, Saikumar, and Sashikumar in pivotal roles.

The film, which was slated for release on Friday, had earlier been postponed to Saturday due to internal problems among Kerala film associations.
"Ennu Ninte Moideen", which has been released only in Kerala, will have an outside release only on 2 October, because of disputes between Film Exhibitors' Federation and Film Distributors Association in the state.
The film, which was running house-full at Mayajaal theatre in Chennai, was stopped after the producer interfered, added Pillai.

Dileep-Jeethu Jospeh movie "Life of Josutty", which was set to lock horns with "Ennu Ninte Moideen" last week, was postponed to 24 September. This has also helped the Prithviraj film to perform well at the box office during the first week.
With three Malayalam films -- Mammootty's "Pathemari", Dileep's "Life of Josutty" and Asif Ali's "Kohinoor" -- set to be released for Bakr-Eid on 24 September, one needs to wait and watch whether "Ennu Ninte Moideen" can maintain its business during the second weekend as well.
