The north London outfit has won four of their five league matches under Sherwood, after the 44-year-old replaced Andre Villas-Boas at the helm a month ago.
Spurs were knocked out from both League Cup and FA Cup by London rivals West Ham United and Arsenal respectively during that period but they continue to perform well in the Premier League, with the 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on New Year's Day putting the club right back in the mix for a top four finish.
Tottenham are currently sixth on the table, with 40 points from 21 points, but can go level with fourth-placed Liverpool with a win today.
Swansea, on the other hand, have been nothing like last season, where they pulled off several upsets in the league and went on to win the League Cup.
Michael Laudrup's men are looking to improve on a run of just one win form their last nine games in all competitions, though the solo victory came at Old Trafford in the FA Cup two weeks ago.
The Welsh club are currently 14th on the table, just three points above the drop zone, and will be desperate to post a few results in the next couple of months.
