England and Norway both took to the practice field Sunday (21 June) to prepare for their Womens World Cup knockout stage matchup.
Look, first and foremost, therere no underdogs in this game. This is the last 16 of the World Cup tournament; these are two good teams going after it, desperate to get through to the next round, said England head coach Mark Sampson.
England finished second in Group F after victories over Mexico and Colombia and a loss to France in their opening matches.
Norway easily defeated Thailand and Ivory Coast and secured a 1-1 draw with world number one Germany to finish second in Group B.
We are very happy to be where we are, I think against Germany we managed to adopt the right level and I think we are ready for that again, said Norway head coach Even Pellerud.
The two sides kick-off at 9.00pm at TD Place Stadium, Ottawa, with the winner moving on to play hosts Canada in the quarter-finals on 27 June.
