It is almost confirmed that Rajinikanth's forthcoming Tamil movie "Endhiran 2" (Enthiran) is bankrolled by none other than Lyca Productions.
A picture of Rajinikanth with Raju Mahalingam, an important member of the production house, has confirmed about the collaboration of the superstar with the production house. Mahalingam shared a picture on his Facebook account in which they are seen travelling together.
The reports say that they left for Los Angeles on 27 November to discuss the project. The pre-visualisation has already started and Rajinikanth will be holding key talks with some important technicians of the flick in the US.
The superstar had flown from Malaysia a few days ago after finishing a shooting schedule of his forthcoming movie "Kabali", which is expected to release in April 2016, in Malaysia.
"Endhiran 2" will be the second big project for Lyca Productions after Ilayathalapathy's "Kaththi", which was their debut film in Kollywood. The Ilayathalapathy starrer turned out to be a blockbuster.
Coming to "Endhiran 2", the first instalment was made with the budget of Rs 120 crore by Sun Pictures. The movie starred Rajinikanth in dual roles and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had played the female lead in the flick, which had Danny Denzongpa in the role of a villain.
"Endhiran" remains the biggest box office hit of all time in Kollywood and it is the second highest-grossing movie of South India after SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali". As a result, there are huge expectations from the sequel.
The forthcoming film has AR Rahman's music and Amy Jackson plays the role of the female lead. Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected to play a role in the film and he has reportedly given 25-day call sheet for Shankar.
"Endhiran 2" is expected to come out on 12 December to coincide with Rajinikanth's birthday.
