Actor Emraan Hashmi has admitted that he will be glad to pass on the 'serial kisser' crown to the upcoming stars or any other Bollywood celebrity.
The "Murder" actor says that he would be more than happy to give his tag to cousin and actor Alia Bhatt. "It would be Alia. But I want to monopolise the crown. Someone has to reach up to my run rate. So it will take time for the new actors to be there," Hashmi told PTI.
Hashmi is known for his bold scenes in most of his movies, which in turn have crowned him as the 'serial kisser' of B-Town. But now, every movie has intimate scenes and every actor is following that path.
Even the "Highway" actor has managed to keep a record of kissing her co-stars in every film. From "Student of the Year" to "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania", Bhatt has proved that she deserves the tag from Hashmi. Additionally, filmmaker Karan Johar has apparently already crowned the actress as the "kissing queen" of Bollywood.
Meanwhile, Hashmi confessed that the audience actually gets disappointed if he doesn't do any bold scenes on-screen.
"I remember watching Tum Mile in a theatre, and the person sitting next to me was wondering why I did not kiss Soha Ali Khan in a particular scene. There are few labels that an actor gets attached to and becomes synonymous with it, like Salman Khan is with removing shirt in a film," he explained.
However, he revealed that his father and wife do not like him doing such scenes but do not make it known as they understand the situation when the script demands it.
Hashmi will soon be seen in his upcoming movie "Raja Natwarlal" as a conman, sharing screen with Paksitani actress Humaima Malick. The movie is scheduled to release on 29 August and is directed by Kunal Deshmukh.
