With just one more episode left for the winter finale of Empire season 3, the intensity of the drama will increase in the upcoming episode. Episode 8 is titled The Unkindest Cut and it will feature new challenges for The Lyons.

The promo also shows Taraji P Henson's character being sceptical about her eldest son and hints at Anika Calhoun's role in Rhonda's death. The video indicates that it was not an accidental death but a planned murder.
The official synopsis for Empire season 3 episode 8 focuses on Andre's betrayal and Tariq Cousins team up with Leah Walker. The brief summary states that the eldest son of Lyon family will sabotage Tiana Brown's big appearance at a fashion show in order to get Nessa in the spotlight. In the meantime, Jamal will work with Philip to get over his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
