Hampstead and Kilburn is the glitz and glamour seat of the general election. The constituency is home to an array of TV and movie stars and its former MP, Glenda Jackson, is an Oscar winning actress.
Jackson won the seat at the last general election with the slimmest of majorities – just 42 votes. That makes the north London constituency the most marginal in England.
The Labour firebrand officially retired when parliament dissolved in March, leaving her successor, Tulip Siddiq, to fight for the seat.
But the former local councillor faces stiff competition in the shape of Tory candidate Simon Marcus and, with Labours proposed Mansion Tax, the wannabe MP must convince the electorate that the reds are the right pick in the polls.
Elsewhere, former Islamist turned counter-extremist Maajid Nawaz is hoping to put in a good showing for the Liberal Democrats.
