Nikhil Siddharth's Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (EPC) has continued to keep the cash registers ringing at the US box office in the week days. The movie has inched closer to $0.5 million mark in the country in five days.
Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada was premiered in over 90 screens across North America on November 17. The movie opened to superb response on Friday and the word of mouth helped it go on strength to strength on the following days. The film collected $389,920 at the US box office in the first weekend to become the highest grossing movie for Nikhil Siddharth in the country in three days.
Indian film trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted: "Telugu film #EkkadikiPothavuChinnavada has STRONG weekend in USA, witnessing growth with each passing day... Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada witnessed 60 percent drop in its collection on Monday, when compared to its opening day business. The film collected $30,520 at the US box office on its fourth day. Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted on Tuesday: "#EkkadikiPothavuChinnavada collects $30,520 on Monday and total gross is $420,976. It's a long weekend ahead! Great going."
Surprisingly, the Vi Anand-directed romantic thriller showed good growth on Tuesday and collected $36,778. Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada has collected $457,754 at the US box office in five days. Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted: "#EkkadikiPothavuChinnavada collects $36,778 on Tuesday and total gross is $457,754. Expected to cross half million by 2nd Friday."
Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada needs to collect $42,246 to surpass $0.5 million mark at the US box office. Its current pace of collection shows that the movie would surpass the mark by the end of its opening week.
