Nikhil Siddharth's Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (EPC) has ended the first weekend with superb collections at the worldwide box office. It has crossed the mark of Rs 10 crore gross in three days.
Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada is a small budget movie with good hype and promotion. But the people in the industry thought that the movie would suffer at the box office due to demonetisation. Dispelling everyone's doubt, the movie started with a bang at the box office in the morning shows on Friday and the positive talk helped it show steady raise in its collections in the later shows.
Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, which ran to packed houses in some centres, collected approximately Rs 3.15 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day. The movie earned Rs 1.70 crore for its distributors on its opening day. The film became the biggest opener for Nikhil Siddharth, beating the records of his previous movies.
The Vi Anand-directed romantic thriller received positive talk from both critics and audience, and the strong word of mouth boosted its business on Saturday and Sunday. Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada has collected approximately Rs 10.15 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first weekend. It has become the second highest grossing film for Nikhil after Swamy Ra Ra.
Nikhil Siddhartha is all thrilled over the collection of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada. Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada has reportedly earned Rs 7.50 crore from the sale of its global theatrical rights. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs 6 crore for its worldwide distributors in three days and has recovered over 80 percent of their investments. The distributors are glad over its performance.
