After the success of "Ek Villain," the makers of the film went on to throw a grand success bash to celebrate the crossing of the ₹100-crore mark on 15 July night. Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor starrer reached the milestone by the end of second week of its release.
Among the A-listed celebrities who attended the party include, Deshmukh, Malhotra, Shraddha, Alia Bhatt, Tabu, Sonakshi Sinha, Prachi Desai, Raveena Tondon and Varun Dhawan.
The host of the party and the producer of the film, Ekta Kapoor was present along with her father Jitender and brother Tusshar Kapoor.
Directed by Mohit Suri, the movie soared up and crossed ₹100 crore mark at the box office, thus bringing a sigh of relief to the entire film's cast and crew.
Bhatt and Dhawan praised their friend and "Student of the Year" co-star Malhotra for his film and in turn, the "Ek Villain" actor congratulated them for their recently released "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya."
While Malhotra was praised for his intense role in the movie, Deshmukh's villainous avatar was highly appreciated. "Ek Villain" is Malhotra and Shraddha's first film to cross the ₹100 crore mark at the domestic box office. Shraddha's last film "Aashiqui 2" was also a blockbuster, which received positive responses from the audience.
In the first week, the film was released on more than 2,500 screens in India and was reduced to 1,700 screens during its second week, However, it didn't particularly affect the business of the film.
Ekta is riding high over the success of her productions, including "Ragini MMS 2" and "Main Tera Hero."
