Eid al-Fitr (also Eid ul-Fitr) 2015 is likely to fall on Friday, 17 July, in most of the countries. In India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, the festival will be celebrated on Saturday, 18 July.
The end of the holy month of Ramadan is determined upon the sighting of the new moon, which is celebrated as 'Eid al-Fitr'.
Meanwhile, the festival is a treat to Bollywood. Salman Khan's film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and Shah Rukh Khan's film "Raees" teaser were released on this occasion.
From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh, several actors have wished 'Eid Mubarak' on social media.
