Sherine Ahmed Abdel Wahhab, an Egyptian singer-turned-actress popularly known as Sherine, will showcase her acting skills in Spain through popular series "Tariqi".
The television drama, which aired on Egyptian TV during Ramadan, has been translated into Spanish and will be broadcast on Colombia TV.
It is reportedly the first time in the history of TV World an Egyptian television series will be broadcast in Spain. So the entertainment industry from both the countries are looking forward to the new collaboration, according to Albawaba.
Sherine recently shared a Spanish version of the series promotional video on Facebook and stated that it could be the beginning of a new collaboration.
If the new collaboration succeeds, then other popular Egyptian TV series may also be translated into Spanish.
"Tariqi" is written by Tamer Habib and directed by Mohamed Shaker Khodair. It tells the real life story of Egyptian actress in a fictional format.
Other cast members in the drama include Mohamed Adel, Sawsan Badr, Basel Khayat and Ahmed Fahmy.
