The Egyptian police have found 15 bullet-riddled bodies of African migrants near the Israeli border in the Sinai region on Sunday, reports said.
While it is not immediately clear who was behind the killings, the turbulent Sinai region is the stronghold of the Egyptian wing of the Islamic State (Isis) terrorist group.
On 12 November, Isis in Egypt executed seven men and a four-year-old child in the Sinai Peninsula after accusing them of working with the Israeli security forces.
According to Times of Israel, Isis in the past also hsa killed several Sinai residents after accusing them of being informants working for Israel.
