A new event for participants has been announced at the upcoming annual gaming event, E3 2016. Called E3 Live, it is touted to be a "one-of-a-kind celebration" of video games.
E3 Live event is not taking place at the same venue as E3 2016. It will be held at L.A. Live, 800 W. Olympic Blvd., in downtown Los Angeles and will last for all the three days. The official website gives out the date and time of the E3 Live to be:
- June 14: Gameplay starts at 5 p.m. PDT
- June 15: 12 p.m. — 10 p.m. PDT
- June 16: Doors open at 12 p.m. PDT
According to the website, the event will include the following:
- Games: Participants will be able to test select gadgets, games and gear.
- Live Entertainment: Participants will be able to enjoy live music, dance, competition and demos.
- Interactive Experiences: Participants will be able to meet industry personalities and see VR demos.
- Exclusive Merchandise: Participants will be able to purchase games, exclusive gear and collectibles.
The website also mentions that the tickets for E3 Live will be available on a first-come, first serve basis and will be free of cost.
The main event, which starts on June 14, will be held at the LA Convention Centre. It is open only to invitees and people from the games industry.
