Going into E3 2015 – the video game industrys most renowned trade show – Nintendo needed to answer the question of whether it is still fully dedicated to the Wii U or refocusing its efforts on its next piece of hardware, codenamed NX.
Star Fox Zero was fully revealed ahead of its release later in 2015. Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival were revealed for the Wii U, also to be released this year, but the real focus was on 3DS, which is getting two new Zelda titles, a new Mario and Luigi RPG adventure and a new Metroid Prime spin-off shooter.
In this video, IBTimes UK gaming correspondent Ben Skipper rounds up and gives his thoughts on the show.
