After pairing upo with "Premam"-fame Sai Pallavi in Sameer Thahir's latest movie "Kali," Dulquer Salmaan will be seen romancing actress Anu Emmanuel in his next project. The actors will join the set of Amal Neerad's untitled flick in April.
Anu debuted as lead actress opposite Nivin Pauly in the superhit "Action Hero Biju," and will be seen as Dulquer's love interest in the romantic entertainer with a family angle. "Anu is playing her age in the film. She's barely 20 and we were looking for someone in that age group to essay Dulquer's love interest. Anu has spent most of her teenage years in the USA, and she will be seen in an urban, chic avatar that resembles her real self, [sic]" Amal Neerad told the Times of India.

Anu has also signed a Telugu movie titled "Oxygen," directed by AM Jothi Krishna and produced by Shri Sai Ram creations. The movie has Sithara, Rashi Khanna and Jagapathy Babu in pivotal roles. The actress — daughter of producer Thankachan Emmanuel — began her acting career as a child artiste in her father's production venture "Swapna Sanchari" in 2011. She played Ashwathy, daughter of Jayaram and Samvrutha Sunil's charaters, in the flick.

Meanwhile, Dulquer is currently basking in the success of "Kali," which has been garnering tremendous response. The film is reportedly set to become the next blockbuster for the actor after his superhit "Charlie," for which he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor. "Kali" has collected Rs 5.89 crore from the Kerala box office within three days of its release. It has broken the record of maximum first-day collection of Mohanlal's "Loham."
