Dulquer Salmaan had announced the directorial venture of assistant director-turned-comedian Soubin Shahir's directorial debut Malayalam movie Parava in June. Now, the latest we hear from the industry is that Dulquer has been roped in to play an important extended cameo role in the upcoming movie, which stars newcomers in the lead roles.
Dulquer, who has shared screen space with Soubin in blockbuster movies Charlie and Kali, is expected to be part of the shooting for almost 20 days. Dulquer had wished Soubin on his Facebook page when the movie was launched at Qissa Cafe in Fort Kochi on June 1.
"All the best to the machan of machans Soubin Shahir for the pooja of his maiden film #Parava today [sic]," Dulquer had wrote.

Recently, Dulquer had also shared the casting call poster of Parava seeking female actors aged between 35 and 45. The upcoming movie, co-produced by Anwar Rasheed and Shyju Unni under the banner of Anwar Rasheed Entertainment in association with The Movie Club, is expected to go on floors on November 15 in Mattanchery.
Earlier, Dulquer had appeared in a cameo role in Sunny Wayn-starrer Ann Maria Kalippilaanu, which opened to positive response from audience.
Meanwhile, Dulquer has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming family entertainer Jomonte Suvisheshangal, which is being directed by Sathyan Anthikkad. He has a handful of projects in his kitty, including Amal Neerad's yet-to-be-titled movie, Bejoy Nambiar's Solo, Salaam Bukhari's next and Lal Jose's Oru Bhayankara Kaamukan lined up for the next year.
Soubin, who has worked with filmmakers Fazil, Rafi-Mecartin, Siddique, Santhosh Sivan, Rajeev Ravi and Amal Neerad, had made his acting debut in Fahadh Faasil's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
It was his performance in blockbuster Nivin Pauly movie Premam as a PT master that gave him a break-through. Soon, the comedian became an inevitable part of the Malayalam industry and has acted in Chandrettan Evideya, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Mudhugauv, Kammatipaadam, Happy Wedding and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam, among others.
