Dulquer Salmaan, who is basking in the success of his Christmas release "Charlie," joined the sets of Rajeev Ravi's upcoming film for its final schedule in Cochin on Wednesday, Feb. 10.
Latest reports suggest that the movie has been titled "Kammatti Paadam," which is a place in Ernakulam. Produced by Global United Media (GUM), the upcoming movie is one of the much-awaited projects in Malayalam as it is the third directorial venture of National Film Award winning cinematographer after his notable movies "Annayul Rasoolum" and "Njan Steve Lopez."
Even when the movie went on floors in September 2015, Dulquer expressed his excitement in working with Rajeev and added that the ambitious project belongs to a different genre. "I'm dying to share so many things about the film and my character with you but I'm controlling myself ! Just so you all enjoy the final product better," wrote Dulquer on Facebook before commencing the shoot for the flick in Mumbai.
"Kammatti Paadam" also has Vinay Forrt, Vinayakan and Shine Tom Chacko in pivotal roles. The movie is being scripted by P Balachandran, who is known for the films "Ivan Megharoopan," "Thacholi Varghese Chekavar," "Pavithram," "Ulladakkam" and "Uncle Bun." The film is expected to hit the screens in May, this year.
Meanwhile, Dulquer's "Charlie", released in Decemeber is inching towards the Rs 40 crore club and the actor will next be seen in Sameer Thahir's "Kali" opposite "Premam"-fame Sai Pallavi, followed by the projects of Amal Neerad, Prathap Pothen and Anoop Sathyan. "Kali" will reportedly be released on Mar. 26 and is the second outing of Sameer and Dulquer after their 2013 road thriller movie "Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi."
