Even as he is basking in the success of his latest Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie "OK Kanmani" directed by Mani Ratnam, Dulquer Salmaan is all set for his next movie. The upcoming movie will be directed by Martin Prakkat and sources close to the young star say that the shooting of the movie is expected to kick-start by 21 May.
The untitled movie has been making headlines ever since the day it was announced.
Recently, the movie was in the news when the makers shot some sequences during Thrissur Pooram, which was held last month. Rumours spread on social media that Dulquer will be trying his luck at Thrissur slang in the upcoming movie. However, sources have confirmed that the actor will not be speaking in the popular slang and the shots that were taken on the festival day were stock footage for the movie.
The upcoming Dulquer movie is touted to be a romantic flick and reports suggest that the film will introduce a fresh face as heroine. It will also see Aparna Gopinath in a prominent role.
This is the second movie of Dulquer-Aparna-Martin team, after the successful 2013 flick "ABCD: American - Born Confused Desi".
The director has also roped in prominent actors such as Chemban Vinod Jose, Neeraj Madhav and Joju George in pivotal roles.
The story and the dialogues of the movie will be handled by R Unni, who is noted for movies like "Munnariyippu", "5 Sundarikal', "Bachelor Party", "Chappa Kurish" and "Kerala Cafe" ("Bridge").
The music of the movie will be composed by Gopi Sundar and the lyrics will be penned by Rafeeq Ahamed and Santhosh Varma.
The cinematography will be done by Jomon T John and editing by Mahesh Narayanan. The upcoming movie will be shot extensively in various locations in Kochi, Munnar and Gujarat.
The movie will be financed by Shebin Bekkar, Joju George and Martin Prakkat under the banner of Finding Cinema and will be distributed by Play House Release.
