Dulquer Salmaan, the stylish Superstar in Mollywood has always tried to stay away from controversies, and he has continuously maintained silence on various issues that shook Mollywood including the actress abduction case.
Recently, when AMMA reinstated the membership of alleged accused Dileep in the artists' body, many social activists questioned as to why young actors like Prithviraj and Dulquer Salmaan are maintaining silence on the issue.
Now that the entire Mollywood is blamed for its anti-women attitude, Dulquer Salmaan has finally broken his silence and has made it clear that his movies were never anti-women and never will be. The 'Usthad Hotel' actor made these comments during an exclusive chat with News18.
"I have the utmost respect for women. What I can do as an artist is that I will always put them first. My movies haven't ever or will never put women in a bad state," said Dulquer.
The actor also asked audience not to evaluate his dad Mammootty with the dialogues he speaks in cinemas. Dulquer Salmaan made these comments when the host Rajeev Masand asked about the social media trolling Parvathy following the comments she made about the dialogue rendered by Mammootty in the movie 'Kasaba'.
"I personally know my father very well. I know how he has raised me and my sister. It is not wise to evaluate him by watching his movies. I know the love and respect which women get in my family, and the respect we give to women outside the family. Everything that affects my father will obviously hurt me. I know, he can never hurt anyone deliberately," said Dulquer Salmaan about his father Mammootty.
The Mollywood star is now awaiting the release of his upcoming Bollywood venture 'Karwaan' directed by Akarsh Khurana. Apart from Dulquer, the film also stars Irrfan Khan, Mithila Palkar and Kriti Kharbanda in other prominent roles. The film is expected to hit the big screens on August 3, 2018.
