Dulquer Salmaan beats Mohanlal, Nivin Pauly, Mammootty with 4 million Facebook followers

Dulquer Salmaan, who is still basking in the success of Martin Prakkat's blockbuster movie "Charlie," has become the first Malayalam actor to have crossed four million followers on Facebook.

The actor, who started using his Facebook page Sep. 3 2012, is the first Mollywood celebrity to have acheived the rare feat of having massive support on other social media platforms as well. While 5.7 lakh users follow the "Charlie" actor on Google Plus, more than 3.5 lakh fans follow him on Instgram and Twitter. 

The young State Award winner has beaten superstar Mohanlal and Nivin Pauly, who have 3.6 million and 3.4 million followers, respectively on the popular social networking site. Meanwhile, Dulquer's father and megastar Mammootty has just 3.1 million followers on Facebook.

Among the Mollywood actresses, it is Nazriya Nazim, Miya and Amala Paul, who are on the top three positions, with 7.2 million, 5.7 million and 5.3 million followers on Facebook, respectively. The other Malayalam actors with more than 1 million Facebook followers are Bhama, Kavya Madhavan, Lena, Manju Warrier, Esther Anil, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Fahadh Faasil, Asif Ali, Jayaram, Rima Kallingal, Dileep, Aju Varghese, Kunchacko Boban, Meera Nandan, Nikki Galrani, Jayasurya, Archana Kavi, Ann Augustine and Sunny Wayne, among others.
