Ducati India currently sells seven versions of the Scrambler, all powered by an 800cc engine. If you are looking for a more powerful version, the Italian motorcycle maker has now launched Scrambler 1100 range in India powered by a 1,079cc engine.
Ducati Scrambler 1100 range consists of three models --standard priced at Rs 10.91 lakh, Special that costs Rs 11.12 lakh and the Sport version that costs Rs 11.42 lakh -- ex-showroom. Revealed at Ducati World Premiere event earlier this year, the Scrambler 1100 range is powered by an L-twin motor that produces 85bhp at 7,500rpm and 88Nm of torque at 4,750rpm. The mill comes mated to a 6-speed transmission and also features ride-by-wire.
On the design front, Ducati hasn't messed up with the already well-received design of the Scrambler 800. The bigger sibling carries forward the theme while it gets beefier and muscular highlighted with twin under-seat exhaust. Ducati Scrambler 11100 also gets brand new, full-digital instrument panel.
Being the flagship of Scrambler range, the 1100 version also boasts some features like cornering ABS, a four-level traction control system and three riding modes – Active, Journey and City. The Radial-mounted twin-disc brakes with four-piston Brembo callipers are standard across all variants.
The standard Scrambler 1100 and Special are fitted with 45mm Marzocchi forks up front and a Kayaba monoshock at the rear. The Sport version flaunts 48 mm Ohlins USDs up front and an Ohlins monoshock at the rear.
Ducati offers the standard Scrambler 1100 in two colours- Black and Yellow. The Scrambler 1100 Special is available in Custom Grey and it gets aluminium spoke wheels as well. The Special gets brushed aluminium bits, brown quilted seat and chrome exhaust headers. The Scrambler 1100 Sport is offered only in Viper Black.
Ducati dealerships across the country have started accepting booking for the Scrambler 1100 for an amount ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh and deliveries will start in the first week of August.
