Italian motorcycle maker Ducati added an adventure tourer to its range in India on Wednesday, June 14. Dubbed as the Multistrada 950, the newest addition has been priced at Rs. 12.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The smallest 'multi-bike' from the Bologna-based bike manufacturer, Multistrada 950, was first unveiled at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. It is built on the Trellis frame and comes powered by 937 cc Testastretta, L-Twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, Desmodromic, liquid cooled engine that can dish out 113hp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 96.2Nm at 7,750rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
It gets Bosch electronic fuel injection system and employs KYB 48 mm fully adjustable USD fork at the front and fully adjustable Sachs mono shock unit at the rear. The Multistrada 950, the entry level offering in the adventure touring range of Ducati, rides on Pirelli SCORPION Trail II tyres: 120/70 R19 at the front and 170/60 R17 at the rear; features 2x320 mm semi-floating discs at the front and 265 mm disc, 2-piston floating calliper, with ABS at the rear. Ducati Multistrada 950 weighs 205.7kg and offers a fuel tank capacity of 20 litres.
As far as the equipment is concerned, the Ducati Multistrada 950 gets LED instrumentation and four Riding Modes (Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro) each programmed to act on the electronic Ride-by-Wire (RbW) engine control system and the ABS and DTC levels. Other features include DSP (Ducati Safety Pack) that includes ABS and Ducati Traction Control, enhancing bike performance, optimising control and boosting safety levels, Brembo braking system with ABS, controlled by the Bosch 9.1 MP control unit with an integrated pressure sensor, LED tail light and DTC (Ducati Traction Control).
