Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has launched Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak at Rs. 20.06 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The Pikes Peak edition celebrates Ducati's six victories at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) in Colorado, one of the most challenging hill-climb races in the world. The special edition is available in a dedicated white red and black livery with a Ducati red chassis in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru dealerships.
At the heart is the 1198.4cc Testastretta L-twin cylinder, dual spark, liquid cooled, engine with Desmodromic variable timing that develops 160bhp at 9500rpm and 136Nm of torque at 7,500 mated to six-speed transmission. The Multistrada range is known for its riding modes which adapt the motorcycle to sport, touring, urban or enduro environments at the press of a button.
The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak edition comes with fully adjustable Ohlins fork and premium quality TTX36 rear shock, ultra light carbon fibre componentry and the Ducati Performance Termignoni carbon fibre silencer. It also flaunts cornering ABS, cornering lights on full-LED headlight, wheelie control, traction control and cruise control. The Bluetooth module in tandem with multimedia system lets rider connect the bike to a smartphone and manage key multimedia functions.
