Noted dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and some activists rescued eight mentally challenged people in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, 8 July.
The team came to the aid of people who wandered near the railway station and gave them a new lease of life. The rescued ones are sent to general hospitals for further examination.
Police commissioner H Venkitesh, activist Dhanya Raman and many others were also present during the activity. They are now planning to rescue many other homeless people in the city.
The photographs of the dubbing artist bathing the homeless people went viral on social media as people lauded her kind act.
"We respect Bhagyalakshmi , may God bless you with new blessings for your kindness," says a fan on a social media platform.
