Ajay Devgn's "Drishyam" had been creating massive buzz since it was announced as the film's other language remakes and the original version in Malayalam were top hits. The Hindi version featured Ajay, Shriya Saran and Tabu in pivotal roles.
However, the Jeethu Joseph directorial was a commercial success in Kerala and it featured Mohanlal and Meena in the leads. Even the Tamil remake, "Papanasam", starring Kamal Haasan and Gauthami, has opened to positive reviews.
The film, which released on 31 July, is about Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator, and his family. The story revolves around his family's direct involvement in a fatal accident and how he devises a cover-up plan to escape the bars
The Nishikant Kamat directorial is produced by Kumar Mangath Pathak and Abhishek Mangath Pathak under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
Several Bollywood celebs, who watched the film at the special screening, have appreciated the flick and praised Ajay Devgn and Tabu for their thrilling performance.
