The motion poster of Ajay Devgn's upcoming "Drishyam" was released on Thursday, 9 July.
The film has created buzz since the beginning as other language remakes and the original version in Malayalam were top hits. The Malayalam film featured Mohanlal and Meena in the leads.
The Jeethu Joseph directorial was a commercial success in Kerala and was later remade in other South Indian languages. Recently, the Tamil remake, "Papanasam", starring Kamal Haasan and Gauthami, has opened to positive reviews.
Apart from Devgn, the Hindi version has Shriya Saran and Tabu in pivotal roles. Slated for release on 31 July, the film is about Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator, and his family.
The motion poster gives a glimpse at Vijay's (played by Devgn) struggle to protect his family. He says he is innocent, but IG Meera Deshmukh (Tabu) thinks he is a liar. The thriller drama looks quite promising in its motion video poster and hints that it will be a blockbuster like other versions.
The Nishikant Kamat directorial is produced by Kumar Mangath Pathak and Abhishek Mangath Pathak under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
Meanwhile, Devgn will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's next, and he will direct and produce "Shivaay", which will have a Diwali 2016 release.
