Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer "Drishyam" scored well in its opening weekend at the box office. As expected, the thriller drama clocked in Rs 30+ crore opening weekend at the domestic box office.
"Drishyam" minted approximately Rs 12.58 crore on Sunday, which took its opening weekend total to Rs 30.03 crore.

The opening weekend box office collection of Ajay and Tabu starrer is in the range of this year's highest grosser including "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", "Gabbar Is Back", "Baby" and "Dil Dhadakne Do" among others.
Ajay-Tabu starrer broke the opening weekend records of Deepika Padukone-Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Piku", which earned Rs 25.22 crore.
"Drishyam" business went up during the weekend due to word of mouth. The film directed by Nishikanth Kamath is carrying terrific word of mouth.
Ajay-Tabu starrer is also close to earning its production cost. The budget of the film including printing and advertisement is Rs 67 crore, according to Koimoi.com.
The film has already earned approximately Rs 45 crore from its satellite, music, overseas, internet and other rights and Rs 30 crore from its opening weekend theatrical run.
"Drishyam" might not be a blockbuster film, but it will make it to the hit or super-hit films list.
Nishikanth's directorial film also features Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor and Ishita Dutta in prominent roles.
