Salman Khan's movies, be it a film starring him in lead role or be it his production venture, always works at the box office. His latest film "Dr. Cabbie" has taken the Canada box office by storm.
The film, co-produced by Khan, features Vinay Virmani, Kunal Nayyar of "Big Bang Theory", Adrienne Palacki and Katrina Kaif's sister Isabelle Kaif in significant roles.
The film was released in Canada on 19 September in just 55 prints. The film minted $350,452 on its opening day the box office, Koimoi.com reported.
The film has shattered both Bollywood and Hollywood films record in Canada.
"Dr. Cabbie" became the second highest grosser with $350,452, "The Maze Runner" remains at the top. Not only that, "Dr. Cabbie" has the highest per screen average compared to other films released in North America region.
And hence, distributors in Hollywood have called the film as "Tsunami".

"Dr. Cabbie" is helmed by Jean-François Pouliot and it is Khan's first international production. In India, the film made it to the headlines as it features Katrina's sister Isabelle in a supporting role.
