Salman Khan fans are in for a double treat next year as the actor will be seen in a double role in Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".
The actor will play the role of twin brothers in the upcoming film, and both roles are reportedly based on Salman's different personalities.
A source close to the project claims that director Barjatya has seen Salman both in angry young man mood as well as in his softer side, and hence wrote the script accordingly.
"In real life, Salman is two very different people fused into one. There's the innocent, child-like Salman who is Prem. Then there is the other Salman, with a wicked sense of humour and a quick temper," DNA quoted a source.
"Very few people see the soft side of Salman. Sooraj has seen that side of him, that part of 'Being Human'. He is aware that Salman puts up a front as a defence mechanism, and so he wrote the script with Ratan representing the mask that the actor wears."
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will be Barjatya's first ever action drama. And if sources are to be believed, Salman will be seen doing some boxing and fencing in the film, according to Bollywood Hungama.
Salman has previously done a double role in "Judwaa", which was a super hit. And now, after more than a decade, the actor will be seen in a double role again.
Double role in films is not new to Bollywood and has remained a top trend in the film industry. Last year, Aamir Khan was seen in a double avatar in action drama "Dhoom 3".
In the same year, Hrithik Roshan had played three avatars in "Krrish 3". Akshay Kumar played a double role in Prabhudeva's "Rowdy Rathore", which was also a blockbuster hit.
Abhishek Bachchan will be seen playing double role in Farah Khan's "Happy New Year", which features Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead.
Also, Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif has been approached to play the role of twin sisters in the remake of classic "Seeta Aur Geeta" (1972), which had Hema Malini in the lead.
