Lakshmi Manchu's latest production, "Dongaata" ("Dongata"), which marks the directorial debut of Vamsi Krishna, has hit the marquee on 8 May and received good reviews from the audience.
Besides producing the comedy thriller, Lakshmi Manchu has also played a lead role along with Adivi Sesh and Brahmanandam. Samala Bhasker has handled the cinematography, while Raghu Kunche, Sai Karthik and Satya Mahaveer have composed music for the soundtracks and background scores.
"Dongaata", which has got a U/A certificate from the Censor Board, revolves around the story of an actress, who gets kidnapped. Why is she kidnapped? Will she get away? Answers to these questions will form the crux of the story.
The first half of "Dongaata" is very entertaining and engaging with lots of comedy and action scenes, but the film falls flat in the second half. The movie has decent production values while music and cinematography are the main highlights on the technical front, according to viewers.
Lakshmi Manchu has played the actress in "Dongaata" and her performance is one of the major attractions of the film. Especially, her action and comic timing will impress the viewers. Brahmanandam steals the show and his scenes are a laugh riot. Scenes featuring Jaya Prakash Reddy, Madhu, Prithvi and Pragathi are also hilarious to watch, as per the audience.
