Fans are eagerly waiting for the third instalment of Shah Rukh Khan's "Don." Farhan Akhtar has been tight-lipped about his directorial, but the recent buzz is that he has set his eyes on one of his most successful franchise, "Don", and it will soon go on floors.
According to a press release, Akhtar will be shifting his focus to the script of "Don 3" as soon as he wraps up his shoot for his upcoming film "Rock On 2." Similarly to the previous parts of the action film, the third instalment will also have Shah Rukh playing the character of a criminal.
However, there has been no confirmed reports whether Akhtar, who is busy acting in films now a days, will direct "Don 3" or not. Apart from his directorials, Akhtar has captured hearts with his acting as well in films like "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" and "Wazir."
Earlier, there were rumours that Priyanka Chopra might star opposite SRK in "Don 3." Later, the director cum actor clarified with his tweet by saying that they are just rumours. "Dear #Don fans, please do not react to rumours regarding the sequel. As & when the time comes, you'll hear the truth from me. @iamsrk," Akhtar tweeted.
On the other hand, in November 2014, producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed that the third instalment will feature Shah Rukh. "How can I do Don without Don? SRK is Don and Don is SRK," Mumbai Mirror quoted Ritesh Sidhwani as saying.
As of now, fans can only wait for any official statement. Also, things might get cleared a bit after Akhtar completes his shooting of "Rock On 2." He will star along side Shraddha Kapoor, Prachi Desai and Arjun Rampal in the upcoming film.
