Reports of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra's cold war have been doing the rounds for quite some time now and the "Tamasha" actress not wishing PeeCee on her birthday further made it apparent.
Priyanka celebrated her 34th birthday on July 18. Several Bollywood stars took to Twitter and wished the gorgeous diva on her special day, but Deepika remained an exception. However, Deepika wished her "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" co-star Vin Diesel on his birthday the very next day on Instagram.
This incident of Deepika ignoring her long-term Bollywood co-star Priyanka's birthday, but wishing Vin the next day made gossip mongers assume that something is definitely not well between the two top actresses.
"Deepika can't claim she forgot Priyanka's birthday. The next day she remembered to wish Vin Diesel whom she barely knows for six months. The competitive spirit has overtaken Deepika and Priyanka's mutual affections," SKJ Bollywood News quoted a source as saying.
Both Priyanka and Deepika are set to make their Hollywood movie debuts with "Baywatch" and "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" respectively. While Deepika will be seen playing the role of a huntress and Vin's onscreen love interest, PeeCee will play a negative character in the Dwayne Johnson starer.
Earlier, Priyanka had denied the rumoured tiff with Deepika by making an interesting remark during her acceptance speech at the IIFA 2016. "Thank you Bajirao, Mastani, Deepika, Ranveer – in the film we hate each other but otherwise we love each other," she had said while receiving the best actress in supporting role award for "Bajirao Mastani."
