After the Indo-Pakistan plot line, the makers of Star Plus' "Diya Aur Baati Hum" are set to introduce another interesting track, which will see new members joining the cast.
It has been reported earlier that Ragini Shah, who played the role of Maa Saa, will return on the show. Maa Saa had earlier left Pushkar (a town in Rajasthan) to live with her family in a remote village.
According to the latest report, television actor Abhinav Shukla has been roped in to play the role of Maa Saa's grandson. Along with Abhinav, Supriya Kumari and Priyanka Singh will also enter the show as Maa Saa's granddaughters. Supriya will be playing the role of a mentally challenged girl.
Apparently, the family will return after the unfortunate death of a family member and take revenge from the Rathi family, who indirectly is responsible for the death of the person. "Maasa's family will suffer a huge loss wherein they will see the unfortunate death of Abhinav's wife. And the biggest turning point will be that Emily (Pooja Singh) would be indirectly responsible for the lady's death," a source told Tellychakkar.com.
"Maasa will soon be seen entering the Rathi family, with a purpose in mind. She will be accompanied by her two grand daughters and a grand son. The track will draw out lot many hidden skeletons that will shake the Rathi family," the source added.
Meanwhile, in the recent episodes, Sandhya Rathi (Deepika Singh), an IPS officer, shot Pakistani girl Arzoo (Prachi Tehlan), only to realise that she was not a terrorist. A guilty Sandhya was seen repenting on her action on seeing Arzoo battling for her life in the hospital. It remains to be seen if Arzoo will be saved or if this the end of the character. Also, will Sandhya be able to prove that Arzoo is innocent? Only time will tell.
