After months of speculating, Disney has finally released the first trailer of its upcoming animated movie "Moana," and fans will definitely find the first glimpse spell bounding and reminiscing of classic Disney movies.
"Moana" is 56th film in the Disney's animated features and is a successor of "Zootopia." Like most of the Disney's animated movies, fans are expecting that "Moana" will also be as mesmerising and enchanting as the previous instalments.
According to Comic Book, "Moana" tells the story of a spirited teenager, Moana (voiced by Auli'i Cravalho), who goes on a voyage in the pacific ocean to find the origins of the story of her "ancestors' quest" 2,000 years ago.
The synopsis of the movie, as stated by the website, reads:
"From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes 'Moana,' a sweeping, CG-animated adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master way-finder and fulfill her ancestors' unfinished quest. During her journey, she meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds."
Directed by John Musker and Ron Clements of "Aladdin," "the Little Mermaid," and "The Princess and the Frog" fame, "Moana" has been produced by Osnat Shurer and is scheduled to be released by Walt Disney Pictures on November 23, 2016.
Besides Johnson and Cravalho, other cast members include Phillipa Soo as a villager of Motunui, Moana's home island and Alan Tudyk in a yet to be announced role.
