After shooting a major portion of "Dishoom" in Morocco, the film's cast, including John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez, recently kickstarted their next schedule in Abu Dhabi.
On Wednesday (27 January), the entire cast of the film, including producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Rohit Dhawan, were invited by UAE Culture Minister HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to his palace for a royal lunch.
The "Dishoom" team, along with the UAE Culture Minister, had a long conversation about India, Abu Dhabi as well as cinema.
The team will be shooting at various locations in the UAE capital for around 40 days and HH Sheikh Nahyan has ensured the "Dishoom" team of a smooth schedule in the city.
"We are having a great experience shooting Dishoom in the exotic locations of Abu Dhabi which synchronise seamlessly with my script. We scouted all over the world before zeroing down on Abu Dhabi," said producer Nadiadwala, reported PTI.
"We are delighted to welcome Sajid Nadiadwala and his production company back to Abu Dhabi to film 'Dishoom'. Abu Dhabi has become the second home for Bollywood producers having secured major productions such as 'Bang Bang', 'Baby', and now 'Dishoom' over the past two years," said Maryam Al Mheiri, COO of twofour54 (media and entertainment free zone based in Abu Dhabi).
"Dishoom" will see Varun and John sharing the screen space for the first time. Apart from the lead actors John, Varun and Jacqueline, "Dishoom" also features Akshaye Khanna and Saqib Saleem Qureshi in pivotal roles. Nargis Fakhri will be seen in a cameo appearance.
